Game generates start world on every load

  1. Start the game for the first time.
  2. Start playing and create a savegame.
  3. Quit.
  4. Restart the application.

Expected results:
The first time the game is run, it generates the start world, so that the player can click on start and get straight into it. On subsequent launches, if there is a savegame file, it generates the world from the most recently modified savegame.

Actual results:
The game generates the start world every time, so that when launching the game to play from a savegame, the user must sit through the world generation twice.

Yeah I've thought about this! It would be cool is the starting scene was just the last savegame, and you could click continue and start playing. Fast and everything.

OTOH, that would break the new game flow. The whole concept of the new game is that you are already there on the asteroid while on the main menu. Then you can just fade the menus and go.... Anyway I don't know that that's a huge problem but it's what has me hesitating. That and the hassle haha ;)

Yeah, to be honest it's a very short delay, provided your computer isn't too old. I think the combination of my small upgrade and maybe some of the engine improvements have brought the wait time down to about a second or two, so at least for me it's no longer an issue. I'll close this issue if you have no objection.
