When you do this, maybe also rename or drop the "XxY" from the filenames? I've discovered during feature #691819 that some of them are actually wrong.

My research for that ticket indicates there is nothing worth keeping in these version numbers; they are a mix of versioning prior to being included in Freeciv and versioning relating to moving from rivers-as-terrain and such format migrations.

(Are the scenario filenames really relevant to the data format freeze?)

(I've been mulling whether there's value in having an explicit version field for the benefit of scenarios we don't ship, like for rulesets etc, but on reflection, scenario maintainers can probably just keep that information in the existing description.)
