There were lots of changes in May and August 2017 in the current (2.5) FAQ
I've updated the FAQ 2.6 draft on the Wiki, or rather, I'm just at it...

I've merged further updates from the live FAQ into http://www.freeciv.org/wiki/FAQ_2.6, and made fairly extensive updates of my own. I'll put the result in 2.6.0 (without a review period, sorry).
