Description
Currently, get_defender()
and related stuff from common/combat.c
and server/unittools.c
does not know about Combat_Rounds and some other effects introduced into the game after some 2.x. As a result, defending chance presumed by the game mechanics is not real, and this should be improved. Related forum discussion (new veteranship getting options should be addressed in some other ticket)
Actually, I'm preparing a patch for 3.0 (for 3.1, the change seems to be blocked by #783336)

Heh, it was far from finishing then, but now I have got a reasonable criterium for vulnerable stacks defenders selection that seems to be the most difficult part, so I hope to resolve it in an observable time.
