According to that thread Travis CI seems to have unannounced (=beta) support for Bionic.
Let's investigate if we can switch to using that. I don't expect it to get officially supported in a long time (they only some months ago made Xenial support official), but for us getting Bionic to use would be important. It would allow us to implement CI for our default gtk3.22-client.
