Bug #862186
closedDesert oil not visible when tile not seen (S3_0, civ2civ3, hexamplio)
0%
Description
To start my S3_0 tests, I moved ~/.freeciv/ aside to get a fresh config file, and started a game with default defaults ('cept changing AIs to hard). That gives you civ2civ3, hex tiles and a torus world. Cool!
With the qt client, oil on desert tiles is not visible, unless the tile is currently seen by a unit. See attached screenshots.
The gtk client does not have this problem. See attached screenshot.

After reading that, I'm worried about what you should do with this ticket:See also #697998.
- Reject maybe, 'cos everything I report, is covered there.
- Leave open, 'cos you mention that it's a general foggy meta-ticket and more specific per-client tickets should be opened (and I got some more screenshots :).
But whatever you decide, at least the title of this ticket should change, 'cos it's not specific to S3_0 or civ2civ3 - only hex tiles.

And I mis-typed hexemplio.

A couple of bugs related to "Resource" visibility in 3.0 was fixed a year ago. This is almost certainly one of those -> closing.
