Getting Started¶

Welcome to the getting started page of the MGOS Project. Here will be a list of required software to build and maintain the Source Code and how to obtain the source code.
MGOS is developed under the Microsoft Windows Operating System and all of the tool/procedures listed in this Wiki will be for the Windows Environment.

Required/Recommended Software¶

Here is a list or software you are recommended to have installed on your system:

• Cygwin (Provides Support for GNU Binutils and GCC under windows)
• TortoiseSVN (A SVN Application that integrates fully with Windows)
• Dev-C++ (The IDE Used to build MGOS)
• Netwide Assembler (Nasm - Assembler used for MGOS)

Here is a list of additional software you may want to use:

• Foxit PDF Reader (A lightweight and fast PDF Reader)
• Notepad++ (A great file editor for most file types, great for developers)
